Education is the foundation of our future and I am focused on ensuring that our public schools remain strong and equitable.

Capping Voucher Spending: I will advocate for a cap on voucher spending per district to ensure that our public schools receive the funding they need.

Setting Clear Guidelines: Establishing better guidelines on voucher amounts will ensure fairness and accountability.

Transparency: It’s crucial to know how much of our local public school property tax dollars are allocated to voucher programs. I will push for transparency in these financial matters.

Equal Standards: Voucher schools must adhere to the same standards and reporting guidelines as publicly funded schools, guaranteeing a quality education for all students.

Advocating for guardrails on AI use in schools. Clearly the future depends on leaning into these powerful tools but we need to help children and young adults be good stewards of AI.

I understand that affordability is a pressing concern for working families and must be addressed immediately.

Healthcare Access: I will work tirelessly to ensure that middle-income families and small business workers have access to affordable healthcare. Expanding insurance coverage is vital not only for individual health but also for the sustainability of rural hospitals and clinics. Under EMTALA, all emergencies must be treated, yet the viability of our healthcare system hinges on a broader insured population.
